The short version

Our displays need no account and no app. Your display stores your Wi-Fi details and the location you choose on the device itself. To show nearby aircraft, it sends your chosen location to flight-data services over the internet. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising.

What the display stores on itself

Your Wi-Fi network name and password, plus the location and map range you set. These stay on the display and we do not receive your Wi-Fi password. To clear them, hold the button on the display for 3 seconds, as described in the setup guide.

What the display sends, and to whom

Flight-data service: the latitude and longitude of the map center (the location you chose) and your internet address, every second or two while the display is on. This is how nearby aircraft are found.

Aircraft-information services: the identifier of an aircraft you are viewing, and your internet address.

Our server: map tiles, aircraft photos, routes and firmware updates. It receives your internet address, the map area and aircraft identifiers for each request. We keep short-term counts and logs to run and secure the service. We do not link them to your name or email.

Cloudflare carries traffic to our server and hosts this website, so it processes your internet address as our service provider.

When you contact us

If you email us, we get your email address and what you write, and we use it to answer you. If you buy through Amazon, eBay or Etsy, that marketplace gives us what we need to ship and support your order, and its privacy policy applies to your account there.

Who we share information with

Only the services listed above, our email provider, shipping and payment partners through the marketplace you ordered from, and authorities if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no advertising cookies and no analytics, and does not track you across other sites.

Your choices

Unplug the display or reset it to stop all sending. Email support@beyondparchment.com to ask about or delete anything we hold about you, and we will reply.

Children

Our products are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We post changes here with a new effective date.
